Richmond

This attractive leafy borough of south west London boasts a fantastic selection of parks and the area has a multitude of cafes and restaurants. Richmond also benefits from its proximity to the Thames, great for leisure pursuits on the river. The borough is home to some affluent districts of London such as Barnes, Richmond and East Sheen and is full of historic houses, theatres, museums and galleries. It is also well known for its farmers market. Richmond upon Thames has something for everyone, whether you like history, sports or wildlife.

Richmond Park with 2,500 acres of open space is popular with joggers, horse riders and walkers, as is nearby Bushy Park, Hampton Court Park and Kew Gardens. London Wetland Centre is an internationally important 105 acre reserve for wildlife right next to the River Thames and it is the best urban wildlife site in Europe.

Richmond benefits from excellent transport links to London. London Waterloo is just a 20 minute train journey away and other parts of London are reachable via London Underground.
