- Hyde Park
This famous 142 hectare park in central London boasts a range of beautiful lakes, ornamental gardens and memorials, including the Princess Diana and Holocaust memorial.
Once the hunting ground of Henry VIII until Charles I opened the park to the public in 1640, nowadays it is a popular venue for many famous events, such as rock concerts, the BBC’s Proms in the Park concerts or various royal events.
The park will play an important role in 2012 Olympic Games and will host the triathlon and the 10 km open water swimming events.
Served by five London underground stations and neighbouring some of London’s most upmarket areas, this green oasis within the hustle and bustle of London offers a great space for relaxation and leisure.
