Canary Wharf Serviced Apartments are conveniently located within a 5 minute walk of Canary Wharf, restaurants, cafes and shops. Canary Wharf is a vibrant business district and a major feature of the city’s skyline. Being one of London’s two main financial centres, this contemporary urban area boasts many of the UK’s tallest buildings, and houses many international banks, professional services, and media organisations.

Once one of the world’s busiest ports, the decline in traditional industry meant that the docks where forced to close in 1980. By 1995 plans were in motion to redevelop The Docklands into the corporate heartland it is today, it now houses several of the UK’s tallest buildings and supports the activities of a 90,000 strong workforce.

Canary Wharf’s corporate veneer often causes people to assume that its shopping and dining experience would be contrived or sterile, however within The Dockland’s there are several great places to relax and socialise at the end of a long day at work, you just need to know where to visit!

Museum of London- Docklands

This branch of the Museum of London is home to the museum’s river collection, telling the story of those who have made their livelihood from the River Thames, from Roman times to the modern era. Like the main museum, the Docklands branch is free to enter and offers an intriguing display of artefacts from Britain’s history.

The SS. Robin 

The oldest intact steam coaster in the world has been adapted into a gallery and museum, educating visitors on the trade which helped London flourish into the city it is today.

Canary Wharf is home to a number of Art galleries including Artisan Gallery, which specialises in Fine art and sculptures, and Frontispiece, a gallery/shop specialising in antique maps and prints. 

 

My Canary Wharf 

‘My Canary Wharf’ offers visitors and residents a more typical shopping experience with a vast range of high street brands to choose from. The shopping centre regularly stages a variety of events and is situated in the heart of the Docklands.

Hazev 

Situated on the river front, Hazev offers fantastic Turkish cuisine in comfortable surroundings. Make use of the bar, café, and restaurant depending on what your needs are, or even visit the shop to take home some great produce to prepare in your serviced apartment at your leisure!

Parks and Gardens

Mudchute Park 

This public garden is also London’s largest city farm! Not only can you enjoy acres of wooded and open space, but you can also see and interact with a wide variety of farmyard animals, from Pigs and Cows, to Donkeys and Llamas, a great place to visit for those travelling with children.

 

Jubilee Park

Built above an underground station, this garden offers a peaceful sanctum close to Canary Wharf’s main thoroughfare. These well-kept gardens are decorated with calming water fountains and on sunny days the garden is a great sun trap for those looking to catch some rays in their free time.

Sir John McDougal Gardens

Not so much a garden as a park, Sir John McDougal Gardens is great if you’re looking for a large, open space to walk the dog or go for a run. It has views of the river with secure railings, making it a great place to take the kids.
