What is a Serviced Apartment?

A serviced apartment is a flexible alternative to a hotel, it allows you all the conveniences of a hotel stay but with the extra space to relax and feel at home. Whilst it is a fantastic option for short stays a serviced apartment really comes into its own for longer stays, when the space to cook your own food and relax in your own lounge begin to shine through over being stuck in a hotel room.

 

Do I have to pay a deposit?

No, it is not the same as renting. As self-catering accommodation you have the same freedom as you would have in your own apartment but it is essentially like an extended hotel stay. You do not have to pay a deposit and all utilities, including council tax, are included in the price of your stay. 

 

What is included in the price?

The nightly rate includes all utilities, as well as housekeeping, and linen & towel change. Other services and facilities differ between apartment blocks depending on price and location but even a basic serviced apartment offers considerably more than the majority of hotel stays.

 

Do you offer any additional services?

Room-B offers a variety of different services, from airport transfers to the delivery of fresh flowers to your apartment. A full list of additional services will be released soon, until then please don’t hesitate to enquire about any specific requirements you may have, we will always do our utmost to accommodate them.

 

How do I book a serviced apartment? 

Booking through Room-B is extremely simple. Just find the apartment you are interested in on our site, click the ’Make Booking Enquiry’ button, and fill in the short form and one of our team will check availability and get back to you shortly. You can see an example below:

 

What if I don’t find anything suitable on your site?

Don’t despair! We have a large network of suppliers across the UK and worldwide and are dedicated to fulfilling your request. If you can’t find it on our site we can use our extensive contacts to find something for you. You can see an example of using the enquiry form below:

 

Can we stay for one night?

Although we prefer longer stays we do consider one night bookings close to the date, however many of our suppliers don’t. The reason for this is that many of our clients require our apartments for several months at a time and if we have a guest staying for one night between long periods of availability it prevents us from catering for these longer stays. It never hurts to check though!

 

How can I pay?

Room-B accepts all major debit and credit cards as well as bank transfers. Regular customers can also apply for a credit account to receive monthly invoices from us. We do not accept cheques.

 

I operate a serviced apartment, how do I get listed on your site?

If you are the owner or operator of a serviced apartment we are more than happy to list you on our website. This can be facilitated in two ways; either we can upload your apartment details for you, or if you want to get them listed quickly we can provide you with login details for our suppliers’ portal, where you can easily update and edit your own listings at your leisure.

There is no cost to being listed on our site, our business plan works entirely through commission for successful booking we put through you.  

 

Why can’t I check availability online?

We offer all of our guests the option to extend their stay up to a week before they are scheduled to leave. This flexibility is greatly valued by many of our guests, who may not know the specific date that they need to check out prior to booking. This makes it difficult for us to publish our availability online, but we believe the benefits to our guests of having this flexibility vindicates it.

 

Are pets allowed?

This entirely depends on the apartment. Whilst some places will accept small, well behaved pets it is important that you check beforehand as many are not happy to do so.
