Further investment into Exeter, as multimillion pound training centre is announced
It has recently been announced that Devon County Council are set to develop a £5.6 million outdoor education and training centre at Haven Banks.

The huge development, which has been funded by the sale of Exeter Airport in 2007, is set to provide the region with a world class facility for training people who wish to become instructors and experts in a variety of outdoor activities. It is one of several large developments taking place in Exeter, which include a new science park and Sky Park, as well as the already finished Flybe Training Academy and Princesshay shopping development.
John Hart, from Devon County Council said, "This is a major investment in Exeter by Devon County Council which will only serve to boost the economy of the city.”
Much of the investment into Exeter can be explained by the South West’s growing pedigree as a place for commerce. It is the most productive region in the UK outside of London, and has the best business survival rates in the country. On top of this, South West England is ranked by the Financial Times as the best place in the country to work and live, and with Exeter consistently rated as one of the best 3 places to live in the country it certainly attributes to the regions vast appeal.
